I left my pills...

I left my pills in LA, yeah, my chill pills, because as soon as I got back, the stress, the jerkness, the everything bad that was poo-ed out while on the trip came back when I flew back. You know when you go on missions, and then you come back...and you're like really depressed, well that's exactly how I feel now, I feel bad because I met up with Jee, and Sara, and I couldn't really greet them with a happy smile, partly because of my lack of enthusiasm, and I definitely wear my heart on my lower left sleeve pocket. Since being back, things have changed, Papaya Dog has moved corners and Starbucks and Crunch on 42nd and 11th have closed down. I really need to just remind myself to be happy and have Jesus lead me cuz I told myself I was going to be happier.

Many people have been asking me what the best part of the trip was, and it's really hard question to answer, I can only best describe the feeling with a missions trip. When you get back the first question, how was it? What was your favorite part? I enjoyed different aspects of the trip for different reasons, none of them being with or containing the word Chuck. Just kidding, that was a bad joke, but yet I still leave it on untouched without deleting it. I think by the end me and Chuck were both ready to part and had a great time together but also had our times of annoyance, I hope I was annoyed more of him than him of me... I would really recommend to most people to do a drive across America, the landscapes are stunning, the people are kind, and the food is hit or miss. I would say to go with 3 or 4 people to help on driving, gas, and maybe comic relief. I don't know if this will be the last entry or not, I want to continue blogging, but my own personal blog just really sucks, so I may just take this one over because I'm pretty sure Chuck has deleted my email and phone number and every picture of me that he took. These pictures are some pictures that I took in SF, the day of my birthday. Stay thirsty my friends!

i like this one, the lone truck.

Ok, fine...I'm lazy.

Ok, ok, so the last couple blog entries have been really boring, I feel like the giving tree and all I have left is my stump. Ok, well maybe not like the giving tree, maybe a bitter one...I have a lot of pictures to catch up on, but I'm serious about releasing a book, I hope at least all of the followers purchase one, and how appropriate! I wanted 20 followers and I got it the last night on this roadtrip. I've actually learned a lot about myself through different people I've met and I'm definitely still learning. I'm staying at Grace Hwangs place, she was very grateful to take me to the airport at 6am. Today I had dinner in LA at a small restaurant in K-town called Chung Ki Wa.
The food was pretty good, not terribly filling...Thanks so much to Mike, Anna, Thomas, Sarah, Grace, Joonsoo, Terry, and Andrew for coming out, more thanks to Grace and Sarah for paying for me!! I'll post some pictures from Napa/Sonoma area because Jennifer wanted to show off her city...I'll be nice and I won't show her baby/child pictures. I leave for NY in 5 hours! Stay thirsty my friends.

The Final Push

As we leave San Francisco and drive through the rolling hills of California while listening to Chuck sing along with Jewel I can't help but be a little sad. Why you ask? I don't think I know why, either it was that feeling of leaving some place, or i parted woth my Tv that i finally threw away...sigh..
we were there for 4 days, the longest stay we've had. SF was great, it's a cleaner, greener, friendlier, New York. I forgot how friendly people were outside of New York and I love it! Me and Chuck have met so many people, last night I made a friend at a 80's bar, Fabrice Henrio from Belgium a skinny young man that towered at about 6'5 or perhaps taller. He was almost like a puppy, I don't know why but we started chatting outside of the club and when we saw each other inside, he never left. It was 4 or 5 Asians and a 6'5 white guy dancing in a circle, I would hardly call what we did dancing...

And on my way home I made another friend at the local pizza place, I don't know how we started talking but it ended with us jumping into each other and a long goodbye of high fives.
Ok, sorry for the dramatic intro I think the music is effecting my writing. Ok so we biked across the golden gate which was a lost harder than I thought it would be which leaves me to one conclusion, I am out of shape. But despite using the excuse of stopping to take pictures and making everyone wait up on me the view was remarkable... It really was magnificent, I
Don't think the pictures I took can come close, you'd have to add a perfect breeze, ocean smell and impeccable weather. The only hiccup on the way was when me and Andy got on the tandam bike, it broke, yea that's right I think I'm cursed, everything I touch turns to gold. After that it was smooth sailing to the beautiful town of Sausalito, yeah I'm guessing pepperidge farms based their delicious cookie on this town, good job.
Afterwards we had some dinner at an Italian place, dessert and then the 80's bar. It was great to relax and spend time with good company. Thanks so much George, Skillman for housing us! Angela, Lisa, and Skillman were so generous to me to share some of their time to show me around and making my stay a very pleasant one indeed!!!! And to Mike Cho I forgot why I said I'd give you a shout out, but here it is. I'll try to update again later tonight! Stay thirsty my friends!

Twenty seven on my way to heaven...

Today is my birthday, no need for the comments, just direct them to facebook. I must say today was a good day, lakers lost and magic won, I went to Korean Heritage day at ATT field where the Giants play. By the way this is just my blurb, Chuck stayed in Berkeley today so I am unaware of what he did. So back to my day, I had lunch with Angela Park and her friend Rosie at Washington Bakery, which is a Chinese restaurant. Food was good, decent prices. After lunch we went to the golden gate bakery where they had the best Chinese custard egg cakes ever, and I don't even like Chinese people, I mean food. Ok, so after lunch I roamed around the city and met up with buddy Lisa, where I met some of her friends who were also photographers. Drinks at happy hour and the Giants vs Mets game. I don't think this entry is very entertaining so just read some of the older post, where I actually liked doing this... I'm kidding.
Tomorrow I hang out with the can't tout this gang! Me, chuck, jenn, andy, and gina! Not to mention Skillman, Lisa, and Sarah for biking across the bridge. I got 5 scoops of ice cream today from a place I didn't even eat at. Here are a couple shots of the game and dessert.

I swear this is jarrett heatherly, or am I wrong?

Chuck just plays Godfather

I have heard your cries for more entries, and I want to give what the people want, but it is tough, because it's suppose to be Chuck and Fred's Adventure, but it's rather, Fred's adventure...Chuck is too busy playing Godfather on the wii, I'm tired, and frankly I've only seen one comment for the last like 3 entries except for the last one, this is a give and take relationship. I will stretch my limit of love despite the harsh screams for better updates and what cuts most is my sister yelling better pictures. ouch, that cuts deep, real deep.

We spent the day in San Francisco and it was a beautiful day, we had taco truck with our friend Skillman, mad props to her for showing us around all day! After taco truck we had Speciality's cookies and froyo from somewhere where you can get froyo by the ounce! After that we went to Miettes where I had two cupcakes, I can't say I was too pleased with the quality of that, after cupcakes, we made our way to Fisherman's Wharf where before our indulgence of clam chowder in a bread bowl and coconut shrimp we were lucky to see the bush man in action, luckily he didn't scare us, but he's awesome. After eating and watching sealions we went to Ghiradelli square where we had more dessert! Kara's cupcake is excellent and I would love to indulge when I have more room and less sugar in my stomach, reminded me a lot of Sprinkles in LA. They gave us free Ghiradelli chocolate which really put me over the edge. After that we made our way to Castro, Chuck's favorite place, I've never seen him so happy, by the way Castro is the gay part of town. After that we went to the House for another dinner, where the food was excellent and the prices weren't bad at all, excellent date place. After that we stopped by a bar where we heard a beautiful sound and decided to have a beer and listen to Justine Bennett (www.myspace.com/justinebennett). All in all it was great, but tiring day, today Chuck is staying in the Berkeley area and I'm going to meet up with Angela Park for lunch and Lisa Kim for Korea Day at Giants Stadium. Please don't be harsh on this entry, I'm an artist for crying out loud. I know my grammar is sucks. Stay thirsty my friends.

browsing through...

I started off taking pictures of my TV everywhere I went earlier in the trip but, I think I'm over it, I will dispose of the TV in San Francisco. Goodbye TV.

Napa Valley-ish area

Good Morning to all you east coasters out there, me and Chuck decided to change things up, we decided to skip Yosemite and Sequoia, because frankly, we're both really tired of nature and animals and strict speeding limits in the park. It's been 8 days now since we left New York, and I think me and Chuck are thirsty for some other people interaction, he keeps joking about being sick of me...and then he says just kidding...I don't think he is...

...

Last night we stayed at Jennifer Kim's house a beloved member of our small group back home. Her mom was so welcoming we ended up sharing a bottle of wine(by share I mean me have a bout 3/4 of it) and talking for a couple of hours, well Chuck did most of the talking, and might I add he is very good at Korean. I just added a couple of smiles and words like I'm from Georgia, I take pictures...and that was about it. I think they're like cooking breakfast right now, I just hear a bunch of dishes clanging while I enjoy the comfort of the bed. oh, I hear them laughing...I really need to learn korean so I can get close with my girlfriends mother. That means I got like three years. ok, anyway back to the trip. right, so we skipped out, now we're going to do napa valley and redwood forest, then spend 3 days in Frisco, which I knows annoys the SF people. hhaha. alright well, I have to go join Chuck and Jenn's mom to some awkward non talking. haha. jk! Stay thirsty my friends!

Reno how to win.

So before we left for tahoe, me and chuck decided to live a little dangerous, that's right we played blackjack... It was a grueling 15 minute match between us and the dealer, chips were thrown back and forth, but emerged on top. Chuck put in 30, came out with a 100, and I put in 40 and came out with 77.50. Overall it was a good stay at the circus circus, good dinner buffet and an even better brunch. Have a great Monday! And yes, stay thirsty my friends.
